Rebecca A. Tie
is a Registered Patent Attorney who concentrates her practice on Patent and Trademark law, with a special emphasis on the prosecution, enforcement and maintenance of U.S. and international patents dealing with the biomedical and electrical arts. Ms. Tie holds a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on Biomedical Engineering, from the University of California at Los Angeles. Prior to joining Mayback & Hoffman, Ms. Tie worked as an associate attorney in a prominent IP boutique firm in Miami, Florida.
In addition to her patent prosecution practice, Ms. Tie provides advice to clients on all aspects of Intellectual Property, including the preparation of licensing, assignment, work-for-hire, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, freedom to operate, infringement and trademark clearance opinions, due diligence studies, intellectual property portfolio management, trademark and copyright prosecution and litigation in the federal courts and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and domain name disputes.
